Footsteps of Leopold Bloom - Celebrating James Joyce

This is one of serveral tours operated by The James Joyce Centre. The guide will bring you along the route taken by Leopold Bloom (in the 'Lestrygonians' episode from Ulysses) from Middle Abbey Street to the National Library on Kildare Street. On the way Leopold becomes hungry and his attention centres on the social, political, cultural and religious importance of food, and how war and peace can depend on some fellow's digestion.
